Mayor astonished by improvement

South Wairarapa mayor Adrienne Staples had been putting off insulating her large country home because she thought it wasn't going to be a cheap exercise and she didn't want unnatural fibres floating around.

"We'd been looking at insulating our house for several winters now, but it is quite a big house and it was going to be quite an expense. It had all been in the 'too-hard' basket, but I had got to the stage where I was sick to death of being freezing cold in the winter and I started to do some research on the different sorts of insulation available."

She wan't kean on fibreglass batts because their ceiling is not completely sealed and she didn't like the idea of the inhabitants of the house breathing in fibreglass fibres.

"That may or may not be something to worry about, but that was how I felt at the time. So we were keen to have a natural type of insulation which is why we went for Insulwool", she says.

When he saw saome advertising about the Insulwool product she gave them a call to find out more about it.

After having the Insulwool done on her entire ceiling she says they were hoping the insulation would make some difference, but they were amazed at just how much better the house retained the warmth.

"We were just astounded with the difference and I'm not getting paid to say this."

They also found the entire process of dealing with the Wairarapa agents for Insulwool, who are also the agents for Airfoam, very easy and efficient. Adrienne says they were fantastic to deal with and didn't leave a mess.

"They were wounderful. They turned up when they said they would, they gave us a quote when they said they would, and having the actual work done - I think it took two days and they cleaned up afterwards - I've got no complaints at all," she says.

She says she has no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Insulwool product and the company that delivers it here in the Wairarapa.
